Rush Limbaugh Calls for Obama to Fail, Conservatives React
byJonas OliverAppearing as the keynote speaker on the third and final day of the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh rallied conservatives with a pointed attacks on the Obama administration, not the least of which was his explanation of why he hoped Barack Obama would fail.
"Let me add a caveat here. My friends, I know what's going on. I know what's going on. We're in the aspects here of an historic presidency. I know that. But let me be honest again. I got over the historical aspects of this in November. President Obama is our president. President Obama stands for certain things. I don't care, he could be a Martian. He could be from Michigan, I don't know -- just kidding.
Doesn't matter to me what his race is. It doesn't matter. He's liberal is what matters to me. And his articulated -- his articulated plans scare me. Now, I understand we can't say we want the President to fail, Mr. Limbaugh. That's like saying -- this is the voice of the New Castrati, by the way, guys who have lost their guts. You can't say Mr. Limbaugh that you want the President to fail because that's like saying you want the country to fail. It's the opposite. I want the country to survive. I want the country to succeed," Limbaugh ranted to wild applause and cheers on Sunday night.
Addressing Limbaugh's comments over the weekend, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told Bob Schieffer on Face the Nation that Rush Limbaugh has become the voice of the Republican party.
"He is the voice and the intellectual force and energy behind the Republican party. He has been up front about what he views and hasn't stepped back from that which is he hopes for failure. He said it. I compliment him for his honesty but that's their philosophy that is enunciated by Rush Limbaugh. I think that's the wrong philosophy for America."
On Monday however, RNC Chairman Michael Steele took a different tack with respect to Limbaugh's role within the GOP.
According to U.S. News & World Report, when Steele appeared on D.L. Hughley's CNN program on Saturday night the RNC chairman addressed Limbaugh's stated desire that Barack Obama fail, saying: "So let's put it into context here. Let's put it into context here. Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. Rush Limbaugh, his whole thing is entertainment. Yes, it's incendiary. Yes, it's ugly."
Steele's comments were echoed by House Republican Whip Eric Cantor who also sought to distance the party faithful from Limbaugh's comments, by saying"Nobody-no Republican, no Democrat-wants this president to fail, nor do they want this country to fail or the economy to fail," reports U.S. News and World Report.
DeWayne here no folks Rush Limbaugh is not an entertainer, he is an American Demagogue!
Rush has been and remains the most listened to voice in history.
ReplyDeleteHussein the liar and thief will fail and go down in history for his stupidity. He is responsible for the worldwide depression that is coming. My portfolio is now Obama-proof as are many others that had money in the stock market.
Rush is just a talk show host on the radio. Obama is President of the United States. Obama is the one that is paranoid and in error. Not since Nixon have we had a President that was so egotistical as to have an enemys list. A single American Citizen is the current focus of his administrration. That is the current priority of this Commander in Chief and the wack job liberals.

ReplyDeleteThe HMS Resolute was a specially outfitted ship for Arctic exploration. During an arctic expedition, the Resolute became trapped in ice and was abandoned. An American ship eventually rescued it and returned it to Queen Victoria in 1856. Her sister ship, the HMS Gannet was a Royal Navy Osprey-class screw sloop launched 31 August 1878.

Gordon Brown is the Prime Minister of Great Britain, a U.S. ally for those of you unfamiliar with International politics. During his first official visit to our new President, Mr. Brown gave President Obama an ornamental desk pen holder made from the oak timbers of the HMS Gannet, By the way, the HMS Gannet was an anti-slavery ship. Mr Obama put the pen set on the Resolute desk.
Mr. Brown also gave Mr. Obama the framed Commission for the HMS Resolute and a first edition set of the seven-volume classic biography of Sir Winston Churchill by Sir Martin Gilbert.
These were well thought out and tasteful gifts.
Mr. Obama gave Mr. brown a box full of 25 American DVD’s, not Blue-Ray mind you but regular DVD’s including movies like The Wizard of Oz and ET. (Why not a Blockbuster Gift Card?) Michell Obama had a staffer go down to the White House gift shop and pick up two model ‘Marine One’ helicopters and gave those to the Brown children. Now if I just said total lack of class, that should be enough but I have another point.
Not even Obama’s closest advisors are willing to save him from his own stupidity. Not Joe Biden, not Hillary, not the DNC, NOBODY!
He is the Fool on the Hill and the world knows it.
I forgot to mention that after 9-11 Great Britain gave the White House a bust of Sir Winston Churchill. After he took office, Obama returned that bust. It seems he is not much impressed with Sir Winston.
ReplyDeleteNow while dissing our allies he is also giving $900 million of our tax dollars to the terrorist organization Hamas to promote their causes. It's good to know our economy can spare a dime to help struggling terrorist organizations on such a generous level. It warms the heart don't you think?
